It’ll be a little warmer and a little windier in Wichita today, forecasters say.
Highs are likely to reach the low 80s under sunny skies, with south winds in the low teens and gusts reaching 20 miles an hour. Saturday will be even breezier, with south winds gusting to nearly 30 miles an hour. Sunny skies and highs in the mid-80s are anticipated.
Sunday could bring storms to the central part of the state. Isolated thunderstorms could be severe, forecasters say, with large hail and damaging winds the primary threats. A few tornadoes are possible as well.
Highs on Sunday will peak in the upper 70s under mostly cloudy skies. South winds will be in the teens, with gusts approaching 30 miles an hour.
