Patchy fog could drop visibilities to a half-mile at times during the morning commute in the Wichita metropolitan area Tuesday, forecasters say.
The fog “will cause rapid visibility fluctuations” until about 9 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. Chances for showers off and on throughout the afternoon and evening will define the day for the Wichita area, with highs in the upper 60s.
Winds will be light and primarily out of the north. Rain is likely tonight, forecasters say, with rumbles of thunder possible. While no severe weather is anticipated with the storms, “brief downpours are possible,” according to the weather service. Lows will settle in the low 50s.
More rain is expected on Wednesday, when highs are projected to touch the 70s.
