Morning clouds will gradually clear on Thursday in the Wichita area, forecasters say.
Highs should reach the low 70s on yet another breezy day in Kansas. North winds in the teens will strengthen into the 20s later in the day, gusting at times to nearly 35 miles an hour.
Lows overnight could dip into the 30s, forecasters say, with Friday finally seeing something of a break in the strong winds that have battered Kansas much of this spring. Northwest winds will vary from single digits into the low teens as highs again climb into the low 70s.
Temperatures will swing wildly this weekend, forecasters say, with highs on Saturday in the upper 60s, the mid-80s on Sunday and the mid-60s on Sunday. There’s a slight chance of rain Saturday night and better chances on Sunday and Monday.
