Wichita will get a break from the wind on a pleasant St. Patrick’s Day.
Highs should reach the mid-60s under mostly sunny skies, forecasters say, with calm winds in the morning and stirring only slightly out of the south-southwest. Clouds will move in overnight, when lows will slide to the upper 30s.
Friday will be much chillier than Wichita has enjoyed most of this month, with highs only in the mid-40s and cloudy skies offering a good chance of rain, forecasters say.
North winds will be in the teens, gusting at times to the low 20s. Chances for rain will persist into Friday night before skies gradually clear, forecasters say. Overnight lows will drop to the upper 20s to low 30s.
