Thursday will feel a bit raw in the Wichita area. Fortunately, that won’t last long in the region.
Highs will top out in the mid-40s under sunny skies, forecasters say, with north-northwest winds in the teens and gusting at times to nearly 25 miles an hour. Lows will slide to the mid-20s overnight, with winds gradually becoming calm.
Friday launches a warming trend, forecasters say, with clearly skies and highs jumping to the low 60s. Winds will pick up from the south, gusting to more than 25 miles an hour and blowing steadily in the teens.
The weekend will be warmer still, with sunshine and highs in the 70s on Saturday. Sunday is expected to reach the upper 60s on a sunny day.
