Wind chills will be around zero as the morning commute gets under way Tuesday in the Wichita area, forecasters say.
Temperatures will climb near 30 on a mostly cloudy day, with winds shifting from the north to the south and staying light. Snow flurries are possible late tonight and early Wednesday, forecasters say.
The snow won’t amount to much, though. The National Weather Service is projecting no more than a half-inch at most for central and south-central Kansas.
Overnight lows may drop into the upper teens, with Wednesday’s highs pushing into the mid-30s as skies gradually clear.
