Storm spotter training slate released for northwest Kansas

The Goodland branch of the National Weather Service has released its schedule of storm spotter talks later this spring.

All sessions begin at 6:30 p.m. and are free and open to the public.

Storm spotters, law enforcement, emergency managers, storm chasers and the public called in 175 severe hail reports, nearly three dozen tornadoes, 75 high wind reports and over 20 flash flood events to the weather service last year, an agency statement said.
