For all the students, teachers and government employees who have Martin Luther King Day off, it might just be a good day to binge-watch shows on Netflix or some other streaming service.
Highs will struggle to reach the 30s on a cold day, forecasters say. Skies will be mostly sunny, with south winds occasionally touching double digits.
Clouds will begin moving in later tonight, allowing temperatures to dip only a few degrees overnight to the mid-20s. Tuesday offers a slight chance of snow early, before the precipitation changes to rain by afternoon when highs climb into the mid-30s.
Another chance of snow arrives Thursday, but forecasters say chances are only slight. Highs in the Wichita area are expected to linger in the 30s through the work week.
