Winter’s cold grip will return to the Wichita area, with Friday’s highs about 10 degrees colder than Thursday.
Highs today will be in the mid-40s under partly cloudy skies, forecasters say, with northerly winds in the teens. Gusts will reach 20 miles an hour. Overnight lows will dip into the 20s.
The weekend will see much colder temperatures in the region, forecasters say, with a chance for snow flurries on both days. Highs won’t get out of the 30s in the Wichita area on Saturday and will be in the low 20s on Sunday.
