For mid-January, Wednesday will be a pleasant day in the Wichita area.
Highs should climb into the 50s on a sunny day with little to no wind, forecasters say. When southerly winds stir by late morning, they’ll stay in the single digits.
Overnight lows are expected to settle in the low 30s, with Thursday offering more sunshine, more 50s and a touch more breeze.
Colder air arrives Friday, forecasters say, with temperatures topping out in the low 40s and then not getting out of the 30s this weekend. A slight chance of snow enters the forecast late in the weekend.
