The first Monday of the new year will be mostly cloudy and cold, with highs in the mid- to upper 30s.
Forecasters say winds will be light and variable, with speeds staying in the single digits. Overnight lows will drop into the 20s, with Tuesday being mostly sunny and slightly warmer. Highs could push into the low 40s.
A chance of rain, freezing rain and snow arrives late Tuesday night and will persist through the morning on Wednesday, forecasters say. By Wednesday afternoon, temperatures should be warm enough in the atmosphere for any precipitation to be all rain.
