A cloudy, windy day is in the offing for the Wichita area on Friday, forecasters say.

Highs will peak in the upper 50s, with south winds in the teens gusting to more than 30 miles an hour. Those gusts will top 40 miles an hour overnight into Saturday, when lows will drop into the low 30s.

Saturday will be sunny and chilly, forecasters say, with highs only getting to about 40 and north winds in the 20s. Lows Saturday night will be the coldest of the season in Wichita, dropping to the low 20s.

Sunday should see temperatures rebound to the 50s, forecasters say.
