Nearly two feet of snow fell in parts of northwest Kansas on Tuesday, weather officials say.

Colby logged 20 inches and Atwood just less than that from the blizzard that shut down more than a half-dozen counties for several hours Tuesday. Several other locations reported snowfall totals that reached double digits.
