Winds are still pretty brisk in the Wichita area Thursday morning, but they won’t be nearly as robust as they were on Wednesday.
Highs should reach the low to mid-60s under sunny skies, forecasters say, with northwest winds in the teens. Gusts are topping 20 miles an hour at times.
Overnight lows could dip below freezing — 32 degrees — for the first time this fall, forecasters say. Friday should be quite pleasant, with light south winds and highs in the low 60s.
The weekend will be a mixed bag, forecasters say, with sunshine and gusty winds on Saturday and a chance for rain on Sunday.
