Wichita weather for Tuesday: Sunny and windy

Wichita can expect sunshine and plenty of wind on Tuesday, forecasters say.

Highs will push into the mid-70s, with south winds in the teens and gusting to nearly 30 miles an hour. A chance of showers arrives late tonight, with winds remaining gusty at more than 30 miles an hour.

Veterans Day will see 60s early in the day and temperatures falling to the low 50s by late afternoon, forecasters say. It’ll be partly sunny and a very windy day, with south winds in the 20s early switching to the west later and blowing steadily in the mid-30s. Gusts could approach 50 miles an hour in the Wichita area.

Thursday will be a bit calmer, with sunny skies, winds in the teens and highs in the low 60s, forecasters say.
