Wichita weather: Sunshine on a much cooler day

No 60s on Tuesday for the Wichita area, forecasters say, but all in all it won’t be a bad day for mid-December.

Temperatures reached 60 on Monday in Wichita, according to the National Weather Service, but Tuesday won’t be nearly that warm. Highs should top out in the mid-40s, with sunny skies and light northerly winds staying in the single digits. Overnight lows will slide to the low 30s, and Wednesday will see clouds move in.

They’ll bring a chance of drizzle, forecasters say, with more highs in the mid-40s. The rest of the week should be warmer, with highs in the mid- to upper 50s Thursday and Friday and the 60s on Saturday.
