Wichita weather: A cold, blustery day

A cold, blustery Monday is in the cards for the Wichita area.

Highs will climb only into the upper 20s on a mostly sunny day, with wind chills dropping below zero as gusts from the north approach 30 mph in the morning, forecasters say.

Winds will ease later in the day, and a warming trend will mark the rest of the week. Highs on Tuesday will reach the upper 30s, forecasters say, and the mid-40s on Wednesday and Thursday.

No precipitation is in the forecast through the workweek.
