Wichita will bask in a mild day by mid-August standards on Thursday, with sunny skies and highs in the low 80s.
South winds will be a touch breezy at times, forecasters say, with gusts topping 20 miles an hour at times. Overnight lows will be comfortable in the low 60s, with Friday offering a slight chance for afternoon showers and highs in the mid-80s.
Temperatures will see-saw over the next several days, forecasters say. Highs will climb into the low 90s Saturday — in line with average highs for the latter part of August — before another Canadian front arrives to push temperatures down again.
Highs on Sunday will only be in the upper 70s as another chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives. Monday and Tuesday will only see highs in the low 80s as well.
