Heavy showers marked early Monday morning, prompting flash flood warnings in parts of Sedgwick County, but skies will gradually clear later Monday morning.

Highs should reach the upper 80s once the sun breaks through the clouds, forecasters say. Winds will be light out of the north and northeast, occasionally pushing into the mid-teens.

Lows are likely to fall into the upper 60s overnight, forecasters say, with Tuesday being sunny and less humid. Highs will be in the upper 80s.

Sunshine and mild temperatures for mid-August are likely much of the week, forecasters say. Highs should persist in the 80s until perhaps Friday.

No rain is in the forecast through the remainder of the week.
