Wichita can expect another hot, sunny day on Monday, with highs in the upper 90s.

Winds will shift from the west to the south, forecasters say, with gusts topping 20 miles an hour at times. Lows will only drop to the upper 70s before Tuesday surges into triple digits.

Chances for showers and thunderstorms arrive Wednesday, forecasters say, along with much cooler temperatures. Highs will only be in the upper 80s to low 90s through the rest of the week.
