Wichita weather: Showers, thunderstorms, cooler temperatures

Wichita can expect cooler temperatures and chances for showers and thunderstorms over the next few days, forecasters say.

Highs should be in the low 90s on Monday under mostly cloudy skies, with winds shifting from the south to the north and touching 20 miles an hour at times.

Tuesday and Wednesday should be cooler, forecasters say, with highs in the mid- to upper-80s. Winds will shift to the east and sometimes climb into the teens.

Chances for rain will persist through Wednesday, with sunshine returning Thursday.
