Showers and thunderstorms are likely in the Wichita area on Monday, forecasters say.
Highs will reach the low 80s, with southerly winds occasionally pushing into the teens. Strong storms are possible tonight, according to the National Weather Service, with the strongest storms capable of winds measuring 55 miles an hour and torrential rains.
Tuesday could see more rain in the area, with highs again in the low 80s. Chances for rain will persist into Thursday, forecasters say.
