Another period of rainy weather arrives on Wednesday in the Wichita area.
Showers are most likely late in the afternoon and this evening, forecasters say, with highs in the mid-60s and southerly winds in the teens. Gusts could approach 25 miles an hour.
Some of the rain could be heavy at times across south-central Kansas tonight, forecasters say, but severe storms are not expected. Overnight lows will dip only a few degrees to the upper 50s as chances for rain continue through Thursday morning.
Highs Thursday will push into the upper 70s to low 80s. There’s another chance for rain on Friday, forecasters say.
