Wichita can expect more clouds, more wind and highs in the mid-70s on Tuesday, forecasters say.
Southerly winds will be gusty, blowing in the upper teens steadily and topping 30 miles an hour in gusts. Showers and thunderstorms are likely late tonight and into the early morning hours on Wednesday, forecasters say. Lows will settle in the low 60s.
Periods of heavy rain could lead to flash flooding in some areas, forecasters warn.
More thunderstorms are possible Wednesday afternoon and evening, when highs will be in the upper 70s. Some storms could be severe, forecasters say, with large hail and strong winds the primary threat.
