Friday may have flirted with record highs across parts of Kansas, but Saturday will demand layers and a jacket.
A cold front pushing through the state late Friday and early Saturday brought robust north winds for the day — including a wind advisory for a chunk of central and eastern Kansas.
Saturday’s highs will be about 20 degrees colder than Friday, forecasters say, with Wichita topping out in the mid-50s. Cloudy skies will gradually clear throughout the day, with north winds gusting to more than 40 miles an hour at times.
Those winds will ease late in the day, with steady breezes in the teens.
Sunday will again be the mid-50s, with light and variable winds. Temperatures the rest of the week will hover in the 50s and low 60s, forecasters say, with plenty of sunshine through the period.
