Wichita can expect another warm day on Friday, but it won’t be as breezy as Thursday.
Highs should reach the mid-80s on a sunny day, forecasters say, with south winds in the teens. Gusts could touch 20 miles an hour at times.
Showers and thunderstorms move into the region early Saturday morning, with even better chances for storms Saturday afternoon and evening. Highs will top out in the low 80s, with breezy south winds topping 30 miles an hour at times.
The storms figure to be scattered, forecasters say, with the strongest storms capable of large hail and damaging winds.
