Election Day will be sunny and warm in the Wichita area, forecasters say.
Highs should reach the low 80s, with light winds out of the west and southwest. Overnight lows will only drop to the mid- to upper 60s.
Wednesday could see severe weather in the region, forecasters say, with mostly sunny skies during the day and highs reaching the mid-80s. Thunderstorms could form sometime after 4 p.m. It’ll be breezy, with south winds in the teens and gusts nearing 30 miles an hour.
Thunderstorms are also possible late in the evening, forecasters say, with overnight lows in the mid-50s. Thursday will be mostly sunny and a bit cooler, with highs in the mid-70s.
