Summer gets one more swing in over the holiday weekend before fall-like temperatures arrive in the Wichita area, forecasters say.
Highs are expected to climb into the mid-90s Sunday and Monday under sunny skies. Light southerly winds will help take a bit of the heat’s bite away.
A frontal boundary will bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms late Monday night into early Tuesday, forecasters say. More notably, it will bring much cooler temperatures.
Highs on Tuesday are expected to only reach the mid-70s on a mostly cloudy day. More 70s are expected on Wednesday.
