Showers and thunderstorms could bring some welcome rain to Wichita on Sunday, forecasters say.
The storms will fire up sometime after noon on a mostly sunny day with highs near 90. Winds will be light out of the south and west.
Storms are most likely Sunday night, forecasters say, with light and variable winds. The strongest storms on Sunday will have nickel hail and wind gusts as strong as 55 miles an hour, according to the National Weather Service.
Once the front moves through, Wichita can expect several days of sunny weather with highs in the mid-80s.
