There’s a good chance of rain in the Wichita area on Wednesday, forecasters say.
Some of the storms could be severe, with hail the size of quarters and winds of 60 miles an hour, according to the National Weather Service. The best chance for the severe storms will be along and east of the Kansas Turnpike, where heavy rains could produce localized flooding.
Highs may touch 90 on a mostly cloudy day, forecasters say. Winds will be light and variable.
Thursday should be sunny around Wichita, with highs in the upper 80s and winds light out of the north.
