Wichita may see another round of showers early Thursday, along with much cooler temperatures.
Wednesday’s thunderstorms brought winds of more than 60 miles an hour to parts of the metro area, with power outages that affected more than 1,000 customers twice in the course of the day and rain of nearly a half-inch for northeast Wichita.
Highs on Thursday will only be in the upper 80s on a mostly cloudy day, forecasters say. Winds will be light and variable, shifting to the north by afternoon.
The clouds will break up a bit on Friday, with highs of about 90. Winds will be light out of the northeast.
