A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of Sedgwick and Butler counties Wednesday evening.
The warning lasts until 7:45 p.m. for southeastern Sedgwick and southwestern Butler counties, according to the National Weather Service. The storm, which is capable of producing 60 mph winds and hail the size of quarters, was located near McConnell Air Force Base and was moving east at a casual pace of 20 miles an hour.
Rose Hill, Andover, Augusta, El Dorado and Leon are among the cities that could be affected by the storm.
