Wichita weather for Thursday: ‘Lamb’ spell continues

March came in like a lion in the Wichita area, but it’s been behaving like a lamb for the past several days.

That will continue on Thursday, with sunny skies, light winds and highs in the low to mid-70s, forecasters say. Overnight lows will be in the mid-40s, with patchy fog possible early Friday morning.

Highs on Friday will again be in the 70s, forecasters say, with winds barely stirring out of the south early and then shifting to the north and intensifying by evening. Gusts could reach 20 miles an hour.

The weekend will see highs in the mid-60s on Saturday and the low 70s on Sunday, with north winds in the teens and gusting to about 20 miles an hour.
