Wichita logged only a trace of snow in January, but the state’s largest city had plenty of company in seeing little more than flurries.
Most of the state saw little to no snow in the first month of the year, according to data released by the National Weather Service. Wichita made up for it with plenty of rain – enough to vault 2017 to No. 4 on the list of wettest Januarys in the city’s history.
