Wichita can expect one more day of sunny, calm weather before a more active pattern moves into the region, forecasters say.
Highs should reach the mid-50s, with light northerly winds in the single digits. Clouds will increase as the day lengthens, with a wintry mix of precipitation likely after midnight.
Little if any snow or ice accumulation is expected, forecasters say.
Temperatures on Saturday will top out in the mid- to upper 40s, with light winds out of the north and east. Chances for rain will continue Saturday night and Sunday, with lows settling in the mid-30s.
Sunday should see any rain end and sunshine reappear, forecasters say, with highs climbing to the low to mid-50s.
