Wichita can look forward to a pleasant weekend before showers arrive on Monday, forecasters say.
Highs on Saturday should reach the low 70s under sunny skies, with light south winds staying in the single digits. Overnight lows will settle in the upper 40s, with Sunday offering a few more clouds and highs in the upper 60s. Southerly winds will again be in the single digits.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected to move into the Wichita area early Monday morning, forecasters say, with rain likely before 1 p.m. Chances will decrease through the afternoon, though more rain is possible. Highs are projected to be in the 60s.
Rain could persist into the morning of Election Day, forecasters say, but chances will be slight by then.
