Western Kansas received some welcome snow from this weekend’s winter storm, as this map generated by the National Weather Service shows.
Wichita received 1.6 inches of snow, boosting its winter total to 12.5 inches. That’s slightly above normal for this time of year, and a band of snow could add a bit to that total later this morning.
Dodge City, meanwhile, set a record for snowfall on Feb. 22. The 3.6 inches that fell on Sunday topped the old mark of 2.8 inches set in 1919.
