Unseasonably warm weather will continue in the Wichita area this week as autumn makes its debut.
Temperatures will again climb into the 90s on Thursday and Friday before a front brings cooler temperatures and chances for showers and thunderstorms over the weekend, forecasters say.
Sunny skies and gusty south winds can be expected over the next couple of days. Those winds will be steady in the teens, with gusts in the mid-20s.
The cold front will drop highs to the mid-80s on Saturday and the mid-70s on Sunday, with chances for rain to persist into early next week.
