Search under way for missing Hoisington toddler

A toddler has gone missing in the central Kansas town of Hoisington, and authorities are asking for the public's help in finding her.

The child, Iviona Lewis, was reported missing shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday according to a post on the Hoisington Police Department's Facebook page. She is a month short of turning 2.

She is African-American and has brown hair and brown eyes, police said. She weighs 27 pounds and is 37 inches tall.

She was last seen at about 11 p.m. Sunday at her house in Hoisington, according to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. She was wearing only a blue pull-up diaper.

Anyone with information on her location is asked to call 911 or the KBI at 1-800-KS CRIME (572-7463)
