Reno County sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man suspected to be involved in multiple arsons in rural Reno County over the past few months, according to a news release Friday.
Pretty Prairie firefighters and Reno County deputies were dispatched Thursday morning about 6 miles northwest of Pretty Prairie for “several grass fires,” Reno County sheriff’s Capt. Steve Lutz said in the release. The area has had multiple “suspicious grass fires” in the past two months, he said.
James Farra, 37, was arrested and charged with three counts of arson in connection with the Thursday fires. He lives in the area, according to the release. Throughout the day, investigators said they linked seven more arson charges to Farra, recently was released from the Reno County Jail on bond.
