A Herington woman died Tuesday after a three-vehicle crash in Dickinson County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Ellen Granzow, 54, was pronounced dead shortly after the crash, which occurred just south of Herington at U.S. Highway 77 and U.S. Highway 56, a highway patrol crash report said. The crash happened at about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday evening.
According to the report, Granzow was driving a 2001 Buick Century westbound on Highway 56 when her vehicle was struck by a 2004 Infiniti driven by Ron R. Larsen, 32, of Enid, Okla.
The Infiniti had gone through a stop sign at the intersection, the report said. After striking Granzow’s car, the report said, the Infiniti also struck a third vehicle that was stopped at the intersection.
Larsen was taken to a local hospital with possible injuries, the report said. A woman driving the third vehicle was not injured.
