A Pratt man is dead after his single-engine plane crashed southeast of Pratt on Saturday afternoon, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol crash log.
After landing on a private runway about six miles east and two miles south of Pratt, 86-year-old Harrison Dale Rosenbaum’s plane ran off the runway and overturned in an adjacent pasture, according to the log. He was the only one in the plane.
The call came in shortly after 4 p.m., according to the crash log.
Emergency medical services units pronounced Rosenbaum dead at the scene.
According to Federal Aviation Administration records, Rosenbaum had held a license to fly the “experimental” aircraft since 2001.
The National Transportation Safety Board will be investigating.
