Someone who bought a Powerball ticket in the south-central part of the state is $1 million richer — the Kansas Lottery just doesn’t yet know who.

The winning ticket — the second with a $1 million prize recently sold in Kansas — matched the first five numbers in the Sept. 10 drawing. The numbers are 3-17-49-55-68 with a Powerball of 8. The winner had not stepped forward as of Monday morning, the Kansas Lottery said in a news release.

Last month, a Wichitan won $1 million after matching the first five numbers in the Aug. 24 drawing.

Wednesday’s estimated Powerball jackpot is $222 million, with a $150.4 million cash option.

Winning ticket holders have 365 days from the drawing date to claim their prizes. For more information or to check your tickets, visit www.kslottery.com.

If the record-breaking Powerball jackpot has you dreaming of how you would spend the winnings — you are not alone. But where you live plays a big role in how much of the prize you would get to keep. (January 2016)
