The record: License information for roofing companies.
Why you'd want it: To make sure a company you are considering hiring to replace or repair your roof is properly licensed by the city of Wichita and has the necessary permits. After last week's storm, the city is reminding residents that roofing contractors must be licensed to replace or repair roofs in Wichita. Companies also are required to carry general liability and worker's compensation insurance. Look for the contractor's license number on contracts.
