Why you'd want them: Because it's March Madness -- a good time to learn more about how the NCAA keeps statistics.
Where you get the records: From the NCAA's Web site, www.ncaa.org. Click on the "Statistics" link from the menu at left. Scroll down to "Policies," in the middle of the page, then click on "2007-08 NCAA Statistics Policies." You also can find statistics for various sports and championship record books on the site.
How much it will cost: The information is free.
