You Oughta Know

State fire-related statistics tracked on Web site

Each Monday, The Eagle highlights a government record that is available to the public. Open records help residents keep government in check and help them better understand how government affects their lives.

For recent You Oughta Know columns, go to www.kansas.com/oughta.

The record: Statistics on fires as well as civilian and firefighter injuries and deaths across the state.

How much it will cost: The information is free.
