Should WSU win, there is lots of room for it to move up in Monday’s rankings. In the AP poll, No. 19 VCU, No. 18 N.C. State, No. 17 Creighton, No. 15 New Mexico, No. 12 Minnesota and No. 11 Kansas State will all present 1-1 or 0-2 weeks to voters (entering Saturday night). Not sure why it came up, but Marshall was asked about his future at WSU during Friday’s news conference. He answered in much the same way he always does. “I’m just glad they’re not talking about me getting the heck out of here, not on my terms,” he said. “Because that means you’re a loser. I don’t let it bother me. It’s more flattering than anything else. I think I’ve proven, with the jobs that I’ve turned down, that I’m not trying to get out of here in any big hurry. I love it here and we’re having a great time.”
