Here’s a map from the National Weather Service showing rainfall totals as of 7 a.m. today.
Obviously, the map doesn’t include the rain that came through town at about 8 a.m. and again shortly before 10:30 a.m. The weather service’s official recording station next to Mid-Continent Airport reported only .15.
Heavier rain fell downtown and in east Wichita. Phil Warren, a storm warning meteorologist for AccuWeather Enterprise Solutions, said McConnell Air Force Base recorded .38 of an inch in southeast Wichita.
A private weather station near Central and Woodlawn reported .36 and another at Pawnee and Broadway logged more than half an inch.
