Claude Raines would be proud

Goldman Sachs is just a little smarter than everybody else, so when managing director Greg Smith quits and publishes a scathing reason why in the New York Times, Goldman calls a private meeting to tell employees it will search their email looking for the word “muppet,” an derogatory term Smith said the company employees used for clients. Then the news of the search and the seriousness that Goldman’s executives regard the situation somehow “leaked” out.

Oh, please. Like French police captain Louis Renault in the movie Casablanca, I’m sure they’re just “shocked, shocked,” to find such attitudes in their company.
