Fresh from a healthy soaking and its first measurable snow of the winter season, Wichita should awaken to clear skies and crisp temperatures.
Highs today should top out in the low 50s, forecasters say, with north-northwest winds in the teens and gusts to nearly 30 miles an hour. Skies should remain mostly clear overnight, allowing temperatures to dip below freezing.
Thursday should offer more sunshine and more warmth, with highs climbing to near 60.
Misty rain changed over to wet snow late Tuesday night, dropping an inch or two on Hutchinson and McPherson and about an inch on Wichita, forecasters said.
